Holy moly! My parents and I saw the Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil show just a few hours ago!! It was crayzay. Insane. Out of this world. Seriously. It was like the songs came to life in all of their nonsensical-ness. Even the human qualities of the band were shown. Sound clips, pictures, footage, and animations of George, Ringo, Paul, and John were all included in the beautiful mess of the show.
Watching the show was like being placed in a Beatles fantasy-turned-reality land. What a feast for the ears, eyes, and even mind(?) it was! Some people might be put off by the oddities found in the production, but I can appreciate those kinds of things, you know? The crazy costumes, makeup, and TALENT! These people. There was everything. Acting, dancing, break dancing, swing dancing, tap dancing IN WELLIES, acrobatics, bungeeing, FLYING, rollerskating, trampoline-ing, flipping, bouncing, E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
They had me thinking “how’d they do that?” And “how is this show so smooth?” And “how is no one getting injured during this?!?” And “how the eff was this choreographed and casted??!” And “could this be oulled off with anyone else’s music besides the Beatles?” And “Is this what it feels like to be on drugs??” (But really)
Who doesn’t love a good “ode to the Beatles”??
Who doesn’t love a show that makes you feel like you’re in another world?!
(Oh! And I can’t forget, there was confetti, streamers, projectors, and cool lights too! Ahhhh!)
I love the Beatles
And I loved Beatles Love.
No disappointing there, Vegas.
Although, just like in New York, no photography was allowed in the theater AT ANY TIME which was a maaaajor bummer. I guess you’ll just have to see the show for yourself!
